Kits We Think worth Having on Hand
Athabasca Scale Models CNR & CPR
Brass-side Passenger Car kits
These kits are for full length (85') CNR smooth side
cars that were on the Super Continental consist and other trains and CPR
Budd cars (fluted side) that were on the consist of the Canadian and the
Dominion in the mid 50's and later. They consist of excellent etched
brass sides and stair sets and an Eastern Car Works (older runs) or Train
Station Products (newer runs) plastic basic body kit on which to mount the
sides, as well as clear styrene for windows and other appropriate bits and
pieces. They include ECW trucks and Kadee wheelsets. (We do carry more correct
TSP truck kits. See below.)
These kits build into excellent models which, once
painted cannot be distinguished from brass. Indeed, they are superior in detail
and functionality to most brass imports.
